Woodrow Wilson was president from March 4, 1913 to March 4, 1921. During his presidency, Wilson went through World War 1, and crafted the 14 point peace plan which eventually turned into the Treaty of Versailles. In the beginning, Wilson's plan was to keep the United States as peaceful and out of the war because he believed that was America's best plan. While the United States stayed out of fighting, the Central and Allied Powers used propaganda to alter the Americans' opinions. After the sinking of U.S. ships, Wilson decided it was time to enter and fight in World War 1.
